This class is defined by chain length. Every compound here is nine residues or fewer: Epithalon is a tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly), Pinealon a tripeptide (Glu-Asp-Arg), Semax a heptapeptide analogue of ACTH(4-10), Selank a tuftsin-derived heptapeptide, and DSIP a nonapeptide (Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu).
