About ghrh analogues and gh secretagogues

This class groups peptides by the receptor they are studied against. Sermorelin, tesamorelin and both CJC-1295 forms are analogues of the first 29 or 44 residues of growth hormone-releasing hormone and are studied at the GHRH receptor. Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide studied at the ghrelin receptor GHSR-1a. The CJC/IPA blend pairs one of each in a single vial.

The compounds differ structurally in chain length and modification. Sermorelin is GHRH(1-29) with an amidated C-terminus. Tesamorelin is GHRH(1-44) with a trans-3-hexenoic acid modification at the N-terminus. CJC-1295 without DAC is a modified GRF(1-29) with four amino acid substitutions that resist protease cleavage; the DAC form adds a maleimidopropionic acid group at lysine 8 that binds serum albumin in vitro. Ipamorelin is five residues.
