Comparing records measured by different methods

The same compound name does not make analytical results directly comparable. Different separation methods, detector settings or calculation bases can change what a reported value represents.

For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

A useful comparison begins with method metadata. Where the archive lacks enough detail, report the values descriptively and explain the limitation. Averaging them does not remove the underlying difference.
