Why a mass match is not a complete structure assignment
A mass match supports an assignment within the method and criteria used. It does not independently specify all residue order, stereochemistry or connectivity.

Read the laboratory's actual identity wording and the supporting data it supplies. Avoid rewriting a limited statement into a complete structural proof. If a research question depends on a feature not addressed by the report, request appropriate documentation.
