Why identity confirmation cannot establish content

Identity confirmation does not tell the reader how much material is present. It answers an identification question under the laboratory's stated criteria; quantitative content requires its own measurement and reporting basis.

A certificate summary should allow identity to be reported while content remains unavailable. This is more informative than a single quality label. When content is reported, keep the value, units and method connected so the field can be interpreted correctly.

Reading checklist

Read identity and content as separate endpoints
Retain units for any measured amount
Leave unreported content blank
