Why a mixture does not have one molecular formula

A mixture of distinct compounds does not have one molecular formula that identifies the complete mixture in the way a formula identifies a specified molecular entity.

For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

A useful blend table gives each component its own identity record and documents composition separately. Missing component identities should remain gaps. Combining all element counts into a single formula would conceal the actual mixture.
