Peptide molecular formulas
A molecular formula identifies the elements and their counts for a specified chemical entity. It does not by itself describe the order of residues, stereochemistry, or every detail of connectivity.
For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
A formula should identify the form to which it refers: for example, the peptide entity rather than an unspecified mixture. A blank field is preferable to a single formula assembled for a blend with several components.
What to retain in a research record
- Chemical entity represented
- Terminal groups and included components
- Source and version of the formula
