What a certificate-weighted purity average means
A certificate-weighted mean gives one contribution to each included numeric certificate result. It does not automatically weight compounds, production volumes or purchased material equally. A compound with more included reports contributes more observations.
For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Before quoting a mean, describe the population and exclusions. If methods differ, the result is a descriptive summary of the archive rather than a controlled comparison. Per-compound counts and source links make the calculation easier to inspect.
Reading checklist
- Name the observation being averaged
- Publish the numeric-result count
- Explain exclusions and method differences
