Recognizing amidated and free-acid terminal notation

An amide designation at the C terminus is part of the compound identity. Removing it from a name or sequence can collapse two different chemical descriptions into one apparently simpler record.

Retain suffixes in tables, file exports and search labels. When a source omits the terminal form, do not fill it in from a related peptide or a different supplier. Resolve the record against the intended material.
