C-terminal amidation
C-terminal amidation describes an amide at the carboxyl end of a peptide. An amidated peptide and its corresponding free-acid form are distinct chemical descriptions, even when their residue sequence is otherwise the same.
For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Keep the terminal designation attached to the sequence in exports and comparison tables. A name without that designation may be incomplete. A formula or mass cross-check must use the specified terminal form.
