Peptide bonds

A peptide bond is the amide connection between amino acid residues. A sequence records residue order, while a complete identity record also accounts for terminal groups, modifications and any links beyond the main chain.

For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

Counting residues and identifying the material are different tasks. A short name can omit chemistry that changes the intended structure. Use the compound reference alongside the source certificate rather than infer the full identity from a marketing abbreviation.
