Cyclic peptide structures
A cyclic peptide contains a ring connection involving its peptide structure. A linear sequence string may list its residues without fully describing the ring closure, so connectivity requires separate attention.
For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Record the positions and chemistry of the closure when the source states them. A circular illustration is not an analytical result. The structure assigned to the material and the evidence used to support it should remain separate fields.
What to retain in a research record
- Ring-closure positions
- Type of connecting bond
- Structure source and analytical evidence
