Recording salt form alongside the compound identity

A salt designation can be relevant to the material described by a reference. Omitting it may make records for different forms appear interchangeable.

For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

Use the exact source-defined form when linking a catalog item to a chemical record. If the catalog does not specify it, do not silently select a convenient salt entry from a database. State what is known and what requires confirmation.

Reading checklist

Reference: Peptide salts and counterions.
