Building a research purchasing documentation file
A research purchasing file should keep the catalog description, order record and relevant certificate connected without treating them as interchangeable evidence. Each documents a different part of the transaction and material record.
For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Save source links and dates so another researcher can reconstruct the documentation later. Add correspondence only where it resolves a specific question. Avoid replacing the original certificate with a marketing summary.
Reading checklist
- Retain catalog and order context
- Keep the original certificate
- Record unresolved documentation questions
Reference: Certificate report identifiers.
