What traceability to a reference standard means
Traceability concerns a documented connection between a measurement result and an appropriate reference through a stated chain. Merely naming a standard does not describe the whole connection.

Read the reference-material document and method information for assigned values, uncertainty and scope. Do not borrow a certification label from a calibration material and apply it to the supplier's product.
