Reading purity ranges without ranking suppliers
A minimum and maximum describe the values in a selected set of reports. They do not establish a supplier ranking unless the sample selection, methods and comparison criteria support that purpose.
For research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
A range can be useful for finding unusual records to inspect. Open those records and check their methods, dates and transcription before treating a difference as meaningful. Keep the summary attached to the archive from which it was calculated.
Reading checklist
- Identify the selected records
- Inspect the minimum and maximum sources
- Avoid quality rankings from incomparable measurements
